»Voting would be clearer if the ballot had a link to the choices showing a photo of the site, as well as an 'other' write in slot . It would also be clearer if the next step(s) following the vote would be explained on the ballot.
»Keep any extension of Little Blue Road or the Little Blue Trace Trail away from the Blue Heron rookery.
»Trails through the entire LB basin are the backbone of the foot/bike network. They are primary. However, they must be complimented with on-street routes, appropriately marked, to facilitate connection to the users along the most efficient and safe right of way. Connection to the overall KC metro foot/bike network is the umbrella scenario or big picture to follow.
»Definitely minimize the size of future roads if you need more roads. Please determine the need for more roads before building them. Lots of speeding vehicles have never lent themselves to the rural character. Bicycling would be a more charming, human scaled way to get around rural places.
»I don't know as I don't live in this part of town. Make sure it accommodates bicycles and walking.
»Some people need bike routes, some need trails. Do both. Trails are ok if they connect homes, businesses, schools, etc.
»Why limit the bike lanes to 3 roads? If the other roads need them put lanes on all the roads. Cars are welcome on all the roads, so should bicyclists.
»By all means, keep hillsides from being clear cut and natural, established tree lines obstructed with rooftops!
»Avoid 'Garage Homes' where all you see when you drive down the street are the garages; look at New Longview and try alleys with garages around back or on the sides so are not visible from the street.
»Expand the 'country estate' development theme established by the fine homes along Ess Road...larger lots...quality homes...green construction...facades that use natural materials to blend with the landscape.
»Don't treat this land area like the standard, ordinary plan that is developed. This should be KC's unique opportunity to conserve the last bit of "country in the city" and uphold limited QUALITY development; not 'Generica.'
»Coud we just level everything within view of the house and replant it into a garden/park setting.

»Create a partnership with Jackson County, Lee's Summit, Independence and Raytown for planning and financing community trails. It is a vital!
»There are two abandoned roads off of Lookout Drive that could be included in a trail system to get residents from Unity Ridge, Wedgewood Pointe and Valley
Gardens to the Katy and Little Blue Trace Trail. Secondly, all new residental development should includes trails that connect to the Katy and Little Blue Trace Trails.
