Save the largest Great Blue Heron Rookery in Kansas City. No Roads or trails through it. Human activity at or near the Rookery should be completly avoided from March thru June due to nesting. Herons will aboandoned their nests if there is too much disturbance. This Rookery has been there for at least 40 years due to its isolation from humans. It is an integral part of the rural character of the Little Blue Valley. |
