The City has a new commitment to “green” infrastructure, which often achieves multiple benefits (e.g. systems that manage stormwater while also improving water quality). Sewer and water infrastructure can determine where development can occur. Infrastructure deficiencies can reduce neighborhood livability. With limited resources, it is important to ensure that infrastructure improvements are strategic and future maintenance obligations can be met.
